Murano Glass
Murano glass is a type of glass that is created using a unique method of melting sand and volcanic ash together. Murano glass is known for its beautiful colors and patterns. The color of the glass comes from the amount of iron oxide present in the glass. The pattern comes from the way the molten glass cools. The slower the cooling rate, the more time the liquid glass has to create different patterns. These patterns are then cut out and polished into beads. Beads are strung together to make necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings.
It is also a type of glassware produced in Murano, Italy. It is known for its fine quality and intricate designs. Murano glass is often hand blown and features a variety of colors, patterns, and shapes. Murano glass was originally created for use in religious objects, however today it is commonly used for decorative purposes.
